13 Aug 2005 | ...International Film Festival as part of the competition for the National Film Board Award for Best Feature Documentary:
"Thank you so much for sending us your new film ANGRY MONK. We enjoyed ANGRY MONK very much - so refreshing to see a documentary about Tibet that deals with its history in a way that is not romantized nor propagandistic. And the cinematography captures so vividly the sense of place with its colours and changing light that I felt that I'm actually there! Vancouver International Film Festival would be delighted to officially invite the film to screen at our Festival this fall (Sept. 29 - Oct. 14) as part of our Nonfiction Features series. In the meantime, I would also like to include it in the competition for the National Film Board Award for Best Feature Documentary." (PoChu AuYeung, Vancouver Intl. Film Festival)
